![]() Out of luck with the Art Club and the Future Astronaut Club, Blossom tries to find something that could possibly not end in a giant robot attack. Jared summons a giant robot, more believable in a sci-fi setting, R2B2 is crushed, a fitting punishment, really, and Blossom gives another big no, ending the daydream without a satisfying conclusion for Blossom or the viewers. This is Blossom’s daydream, but I’m not sure if that makes it better or worse. Something about that line just rubs me the wrong way. Jared: “So, in the spirit of intergalactic friendship, and maybe more in the future…“ (raises eyebrows) Maybe an unintentionally creepy line from the guy who is not named after the Subway guy can help. They’re not just hearts, either, but hearts with Jared’s head in them! Why not just have big, shiny letters that say “WE HOPE YOU THINK BLOSSRED IS YOUR OTP”? I’m sure there’s one person who may have missed the subtext here. Blossom reacts to this question in a way you don’t have to look too deep into.īlossom’s irises turn into hearts. Yeah, I’m looking way too deep into this. Jared: (hair waving in the wind) How do you make your hair so shiny?Īt least we learn something about him: Jared has a thing for hair! Or, in this case, Blossom hopes Jared has a thing for hair. But see, it’s original because he and his minions have four arms! Also like Star Wars, he takes off his mask to reveal something horrifying. While R2B2 is throwing rocks at Blossom’s face, because she’s a rascally little green princess, a guy in a Darth Vader-like costume shows up. I had to listen to that more than once to realize they didn’t just outright steal the name. Because we can’t have a subtle parody, she comes with a robot named R2B2. Cue the Star Wars parody!ĭaydream #2 has Blossom imagining herself as an astronaut, landing her spaceship on an unknown planet. Buttercup gives her a suggestion: the Future Astronauts’ Club. Thanks to this, Blossom decides against the Art Club. The daydream then ends without a satisfying conclusion for Blossom or the viewers. Even Jared gets into this evil mob more of a reason why they’re just the perfect couple!Įventually, a giant robot is summoned, just go with it, the robot crushes Buttercup, I certainly can go with that, and Blossom yells a big no. The other townsfolk decide to riot over it, buying pitchforks and torches from Buttercup. No, really, they yell that there should be a sweater on that chair. We got to have some conflict somewhere to keep this from becoming a romantic fanfic that nobody wanted, so two people start protesting that the chair is naked. I don’t see a single reason why I want to see these two together he just loves her because…he’s the love interest. Come to think of it, he doesn’t seem to have a character beyond “Blossom’s love interest“. Once again, the episode that introduces him has yet to air, but it’s pretty obvious he is Blossom’s love interest. People gather around Blossom, being heavily impressed by her amazing chair painting. This scene subverts our expectations, not only in the way we would have expected Blossom to paint a picture of the sister she has fought crime with, but also not just shoo her away as if she was just an annoying person. ![]() She appears to be drawing Bubbles sitting on a chair, but she tells Bubbles to go away, as she’s only painting the chair. Saying that any of these segments can stand on their own is questionable, as PPG 2016 episodes rarely stand at all.ĭaydream #1 begins with Blossom imagining herself as a Renaissance painter. That’s her last name now, don’t question it. Bubbles suggests the art club! Look, Bubbles has a hobby she had in another episode, can you believe it?įor the rest of the episode, just like the Secret Life of Walter Mitty, the episode is made up entirely of daydream sequences. Noticing Blossom’s over-dramatic cries in a completely subtle way, I completely lie, Bubbles and Buttercup suggest that she should try a different club. Don’t you wish these guys have actual names? Blossom yells a big no at this, and claims that her life is ruined. Blossom wants to join the Model UN club, being that stereotypical leader and all, but the Illuminati kid puts up a sign that says “Club Closed“. The episode starts with the school Club Fair. We’re at the end of the High-Five, and it all ends with a shorts episode! We even have four new storyboarders.
